I have heard that the NT books weren’t written in the order that they are typically listed in the Bible. I’d love to read them in chronological order to get a better view of the New Testament. Has anyone determined exactly when each book was written? Which books were written first, which were written last?
A book I’ve been looking forward to has been scheduled for release on the same day that I’ll be arriving in France for a holiday with my family. The publisher is Headline in the UK (Random House in the US). Can I count on being able to find newly-published books in English in France? We’ll be staying in Paris for two weeks.
I know this is a useless question, but I really see no reason for books to always come out in hardcover first, I mean why can’t they just be paperback right away? And what’s the point of hardcovers anyways?
Mine are Robin/Nightwing (Dick Grayson) and the Joker, both originally from the Batman comics.
Who are your two favourites?

Many bookstores discount NYT bestsellers, which increases the sales of those books, which means they will spend more time on the NYT besteller list, which means that their price will be discounted…
I just wish there was more of a way to rotate different books through those lists, so that we don’t keep seeing Tuesdays with Morrie and The World is Flat and Obama’s latest book week after week after week.
I’ve got a feeling that there are a lot of good books just outside the bestseller lists that could use a good boost of publicity and price discounting.
I love non-fictions and I just need some idea as to what I’m going to read next. Anything interesting will do.
I really want to get back into reading and I want to do this by checking out books that have generally been received well by readers and/or critics, or are just well-known. Part of the enjoyment of reading is discussing the books, especially when it’s easy to find others that have read the same thing as you.
We have all these news blog sites focusing on film, television and DVDs, but is there a fairly regularly updated site (in blog format) that posts about new, mainstream books and authors?
